... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos! We then got back on the road since we still had about 2 1/2 hrs ahead of us before our campsite for the night in the Mark Twain state park near Hannibal, ...

Route 66 - a little closer to the end in St Louis

We leave Joplin early in the morning to get started on a 300 mile drive to St Louis.

Shirley ordered a rack of baby back ribs with cheesy macaroni and slaw, and I ordered ...

Hey all. I am really sorry for cancelling class on Tuesday. My wife was very sick, and I needed to stay home and care for her. For this coming Tuesday, please just prepare yourself for what we were going to discuss last Tuesday. We'll decide when to make up the misses class then too.

Left Louisville, Kentucky today. Managed to be in 4 states today. Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and then Missouri, all in only 250 miles.
Will spend a couple of days in St. Louis, Missouri. Here we go again, no place to stay. One RV park in the guts of St. Louis, but will they answer their phone (after 4 calls and leaving messages), noooo!! Rude ********. Oh well, once again we will keep driving until we find somewhere to stay. Drove another 30 bloody ...
