... slow motion and nothing you can do to help. There are these poles in the middle of the trail to prevent cars from driving on the trails and someone ran smack into it and flipped over the bike. She ended up being fine other than a cut chin and a big fright. Glad I brought the spray I was given to for my knee so I can be of a bit of help. She was a trooper and got back on and we continued the ride. Had nice conversation with fellow bikers as we traveled through this nice town. ...

... which is unimpressive compared to the last one, and put my pack down and get my bearings with map and wifi. I then walk back to the train station and part with a saddening number of Euros to reserve a high-speed train between Bruges and Paris (otherwise I'd have 12 stops and 7 hours or something ridiculous). It's dismal and grey here, and I'm sad I left the sunny south. I want to make my gourmet hot chocolate and attempt to get milk, but accidentally ...

... made me a few croquettes while I sorted out my train and packed my bag up. I must say, for the last thing I was going to eat in Brugge, I was not disappointed. The croquettes were just as my book described, crispy on the outside with the shrimp filling on the inside perfectly cooked and seasoned. Happiness!!!
After lunch, it was time to head to Brussels, the train doesn't take long but after a leisurely day I knew it was time to go. Jaey and I walked ...

On December 31, 2010 I visited another UNESCO's heritage site: the medieval city of Bruges in Belgium. I am starting to think I should work for UNESCO maybe promoting existing world heritage sites, or I could travel forever to sites nominated by them as in inspector. I don’t know perhaps a new position can be created: TSC "Traveler Site Coordinator" or MSI “Manager of Site Inspection”. ...
