... of Leopoldskroner. The "konzert" took place high above that however. After dinner, and climbing an indeterminable number of stairs to the top of the fortress we were treated to a gorgeous setting for the most incredible chamber music and sunset over Salzburg. What a night. Note regarding GPS and Wifi: In June, our district gave us an info sheet via email about using Airplane mode and Wifi when travelling to avoid hidden charges. The picture of my journal is a reminder to me why I want to go digital. :) ...

It was a rather inauspicious start to the day, with the predicted overcast weather coming to fruition. Still we were going on our Sound of Music bus tour today, so there was still a sense of anticipation as we headed down for an early breakfast then waited to be picked up from our hotel by the tour company. We were sitting at the bus stop waiting for some last minute passengers to arrive when I leaned over and ...

... the Sound of Music, and of course, the Salt Mines- Salzburg. Silke played the film Amadeus on the bus. Some watched, some caught up on sleep, some read, some played on their electronics, others watched the world go by out the window, and Mr. Ferraro and Mr. Uranic host ed a silent bus dance party. (Video coming soon) Due to the rain, it was quite foggy and you were unable to see the Alps as clearly as you would on a clear day. ...
