... was excellent- not too much information with amusing asides- perfect. All the guides have been the best we have ever experienced.
We were moored in Koblenz all evening so some people went out to dinner or to the bars. The ship did a Germanic buffet of regional dishes. Not that keen on german food we were relieved to find fabulous roast beef aand pork in the galley so we could also get to see where all the food is prepared. ... a smooth check-in.

It has to be said that 1/2 day in Dresden is not enough. With travel to and from, it is pretty much essential that you have at least a 2 night stay. We didn't so we short-changed ourselves and did not do justice to Dresden.

From Feb 13-15, 1945, the inner city of Dresden was largely destroyed by 722 RAF and 527 USAAF bombers that dropped 2431 tons of high explosive bombs, and 1475.9 tons of incendiaries. The high explosive bombs damaged buildings and exposed ...

A day with Garbage

A travel blog entry by kuerbis on Jul 17, 2013

So today... hmm, a strange day. I'm not really sure...
It started off with me falling asleep and waking up at 3 A.M. and chatting with Tyler. This lasted until about 5 A.M. and then I watched some Wednesday morning cartoons (I watched the rest of the episode of Fighting Foodons I had been watching when I fell asleep, and then I watched an episode of Monster Rancher. Both are Japanese cartoons from my ...
