... to note that no one in Holland appears to take VISA cards. In fact
credit cards are not much use here. Apparently the people are almost boycotting
credit cards as a way of protesting the high charges attached to credit card

Our field was absolutely deserted so we let Prego have a good run around. ...

Walked into town and had my haircut. A great feeling to have it cut after so long. Then to the bakery to say hi to Eva. We went for a walk in the afternoon to the Makkum beach and a quiet beer. Then a nice evening and dinner in a very old restaurant by the canal. It's great to live so close to walk to the shops restaurants beach harbour in a town with plenty interesting of ...

... leaving my bags, I went back to my hostel a couple hours later. It's a shame because I don't think I really got to see Hamburg, but I didn't have a great experience there. I'll just have to go back someday to try again. I hung out at my hostel until it was time to run the gauntlet of drunken hobos to get to my bus.

I got my Eurolines bus to Amsterdam and it was completely full. I was sat next to a very large woman who ...
