We had to come up with a plan B and found the very pretty town of Mittenwald was close by. The buildings in this part of Bavaria are painted with murals which is quite different to other areas. ... Celeste and Peter shared a tasting platter with a bit of everything on their menu! The serves were huge! See the photos! I thought I would try an Austrian speciality for dessert. I can't remember it's proper name but it's a soufflé. What they fail to tell you and the menu doesn't explain either, that it's "HUGE" and is supposed to be shared between 5 or 6 people. Everyone had a taste and we had to leave about a third of it. ...
