We left the artsy Clew Bay Hotel yesterday morning, with stops in Foxford, Ballina, and Rosses Point. We checked in to the Strandhill Lodge & Suites, then headed for a seaweed bath! Best food yet at The Venue!
Hi Just spending two weeks in Ireland having a great time; started out in Dublin and went to the North-West to Sligo. ... Pottery which I found really interesting - we're liking all this OAP discount we keep getting too. £2 instead of £4 on this occasion (notice we had slipped back into Northern Ireland). After Belleek we decided we head back into the "South" and find a B&B (I didn't end up getting a SIM card in the North as we seemed to manage to get quite a bit of free WIFI, so if we went back to the South, my SIM card would be much happier!!! We just finished dinner and it is time to hit the showers and get ready for my birthday in Ireland tomorrow. I had hoped to be on the Cliffs of Moher when I turn 60 but we are scheduled to leave 12 minutes before I turn the page for a new year. ... little while I was walking along the shoreline, it was truly amazing. The weather felt perfect and I think I'm in love with this place. Later I got to watch the sun set and the tide come in. Now I'm exhausted, but so very grateful.

Could easily stay for a week here. The beach is a easy walk down the road, and the restaurant (pub) next door is excellent!
