We left the artsy Clew Bay Hotel yesterday morning, with stops in Foxford, Ballina, and Rosses Point. We checked in to the Strandhill Lodge & Suites, then headed for a seaweed bath! Best food yet at The Venue!
Hi Just spending two weeks in Ireland having a great time; started out in Dublin and went to the North-West to Sligo. Staying in a lovely seaside village called Strandhill – stayed three nights in the Strandhill Lodge and Suites; the best hotel ive stayed in.... fabulous place great rooms... went surfing a few times the last couple of days …
... just call it...Irish. 3) According to the Irishman I talked with, the Irish don't have shamrocks. This one had never seen a shamrock before and claimed they didn't exist in Ireland. 4) When in doubt say "Cheers!"
Another thing I didn't know about Ireland is the amazing surf it has. Dunboran is one of the top five places in the world to surf...who would've thought?! Anyway, after a late night we had an "early" morning, having to show up for our surf lesson ready to go ...
... got loose onto the road, and me and Mummy saw it get hit by a motorbike. My cousin Margeret said the motorbike guy was weird and wouldn't tell anyone his name. It was sad to see a sheep get hurt, but it meant we got to see another cousin John, although he couldn't stay long. After dinner, we had lots of visitors. Visited Belleek Pottery and inspected craftsman doing their trade.

Could easily stay for a week here. The beach is a easy walk down the road, and the restaurant (pub) next door is excellent!
