... the cut! =) We of course, graciously accepted her offering. It felt like getting a medal for being "most liked". =)

Instead of some of the recommended routes, we decided to take the routes that would take us longer along the water. I would say that during the whole cycle tour a good 80% of it was within a view of some kind of canal, sea, lake or river, and if we could help it, this day would be no different.

... definitely go via the fish market as it was very interesting. She completed her information by adding that Belgium was famous for having weather that experienced four seasons in one day. A little concerned that snow might well follow the blustery autumnal weather we were experiencing, we parted and finally made it back to the railway station.It continued raining heavily throughout the evening and we were very glad of a hot shower and cup of tea on our return..
