    ... by Dr. Tullius. Lectures were followed by the usual free time. Free time was pretty short this time, so we did a quick run through of the museum before booking it to get gelato. I think my favorite flavors so far are limone and fragola (strawberry) together. After gelato we got back on the buses to go back to the hotel for lunch before heading back to campus.     Not much I can add, story wise, so take a look at the pictures. Greeks went in search or new agricultural lands after many years of bad harvests in the homeland. Paestum was settled, later was in Roman hands, then disappeared and was forgotten. Too many mosquitoes around, malaria rampant, so no one knew of the place for centuries. A new road was being cut thru the area, and lo and behold, a city was rediscovered. They say these temples are better preserved than ones in Athens. ...

    ... buy the pendant. We caught a bus from Amalfi to Ravello, a village set high on the hill above Amalfi. The drive is all steep hairpin bends, I think worse than we have seen, so we are thankful G doesn't have to drive. Oh and I gashed my head on the luggage rack getting into my seat so I got a bit of attention from everyone for a little while! Ravello is quiet and lovely. They squeeze by with a fraction of an inch to spare and the driver will sometimes get a round of applause for pulling off a particularly challenging maneuver.
