    ... The entire operation is natural and organic...there is no artificial insemination, no pasteurization, and careful attention is given to the grasses grown that the herd feeds upon. The buffalo were friendly and jostled for position when Ken went to pet them. There was an orderly queue for the milking machine, from which they head to a resting area, then on to the massage parlor! Quite a life for them at the farm....unless ...

    ... lunch. The temperature duely dropped to about 30 deg (hot instead of bloody hot). We then had lunch at an awesome resturant in the medieval town of Postiglione. We had a huge sunday lunch with a couple of courses and wine and the toal bill for the eight of us was only EUR100. It was great value and the porcini mushrooms were really good.

    ... were craving gelato (as usual) so we found a place in our piazza that we all agreed had the best gelato of all the places we have tried so far! Marco got cocco and duplo, Paolo got cookies and duplo, Olivia got menta e nutella, and Selena got straciatella and caffe (sorry we don't have pics!!). After dessert, we went to bed early (around 1130) because we have an early morning breakfast/drive to Paestum tomorrow!

    ... after midday to get provisions for lunch: a shared bread roll with a stack of beautiful ripe cherry tomatoes, some grapes, some fresh mozzarella, anchovies, chilli oil and a couple of peaches usually did the trick for a light lunch. We got a lot of enjoyment from eating something fresh and made by our own hands at this point in the trip. And it was cheap which helps a lot as our budget is running down quickly by this part of the trip. And to be fair we have both put on a few extra kgs ...
