... to check it out and what a surprise. All it was, was a set of SMALL bunkbeds with no window or anything else in the cabin. We returned outside, had lunch and watched Germany fade into the distance. We were finally headed to my homeland of Sweden. It was quite interesting watching the chalk cliffs and little villages, but as soon as we were deep into the baltic sea there was nothing left to see. We decided to return to the below ...

... for Baja, but both are mandatory to board the ferry from La Paz to the mainland...and it's much better to get that stuff taken care of at the border...office hours get shorter and shorter the further south you go, so it's best to get all the documentation taken care of at the border....and crossing on Sunday was perfect as we were the only ones in the office! The line of cars exiting Mexico was a couple of miles long, but we just breezed right through.

Nach unserem Wochenendausflug muss Anna die Woche über wieder zur Arbeit in die Tierklinik. Ich darf sie begleiten, verstehe aber in der Sprechstunde kein Wort und entschließe mich daher für den Op. Ich darf bei einigen sehr interessanten Operationen assistieren und möchte mich dafür nochmals herzlich bedanken.

After yet another lazy morning in bed (and this is getting up at around about 12 in the afternoon), Henrik and I headed out to see his grandmother who lives in this beautiful countryside right next to a lake, where he used to go and swim when he was a kid. Besides I think the fact that I was going to swim and his little sister was there with us on the little dingy, he probably thought it just wasn't going to look cool in front of her, if he didn't swim and I did. The water was cold, but after a while you got used to it. I also swam back to our boat, so if I am correct, effectively I did the swimming part of a triathlon, at least that is I what I am telling myself! ... shopping boutiques and cafes. Due to the river the town centre is slightly bizarrely split into the East Centre and West Centre. The camp site was a little too family friendly. First camp site where I had really been aware of bawling kids and yapping dogs. Couldn't stay too long but at least it was possible to escape into the service building for the Internet and a cider:-)

... I like the Dutch chatting. Even liked it so much that I almost decided on staying for another day, but time is pressing and want to make it to Stockholm just to know I have the ferry across to Finland secured. Would be very silly if I came all this way and got stuck in Stockholm on the weddingday.... Also bought the latest HP book (Harry Potter of course!), so well into reading it of course.

... but I might give it a miss, I'm so bruised already! A really, really great experience anyway, I would love to come back in summer as under all this snow it sounds very green and lush, you can pick blueberries all day, how grand, and swim in the lakes (unimaginable right now!) And they live in Husvana, the home of Huskvana power tools motorbikes etc. Itäs really forested which is nice and Gem and Jimmy's place backs onto great forests. Must run and play in the snow, Love Jillskä and Simön

... nköping and my canadian flag but since we were 2 she couldnt take us as she only had place for one person. Sad! Finally in Helsingborg, Sweden. We look for a place to hitch-hike so I decide to go where the car unload from the ferry... it happens there is already 2 hitch-hikers. Damn! We wait for our turn, eat and I go to look further if there is a place where car could stop as the place is really not the best. It appear again that there is 2 other hitch-hikers ...
