Our detsination Eksjo is a forestry and farming service town about half way on the diagonal between Malmo and Stockholm.
As soon as we could we got off the motorway and headed up a red road, equivalent to our state highways. Soon the rolling crop lands gave way to increasing numbers of trees and lakes.

... houses warm... Don and I have had the loveliest time in the dining car where miniature bottles of Merlot and large bottles of Czech beer are sold at a very reasonable price. Again the service is amazing and the scenery and setting from another world...loving this train travel across Europe already. Even the toilets are better than any airplane toilet...that's another story! Awaiting our stop for Malmo soon. The whole of Sweden is just a revisit of the Ikea catalogue ...
