      Today I had another morning flight so had to be up early again to be at the train station to get to the airport. I was flying to Bergen but rather than a direct flight I chose one that made a stop in the coastal town of Alesund.

      Monday, 9/15, we wandered the streets of Bergen with no destination in mind. We went into a few stores where locals shopped, had lunch at the fish market sitting on the harbor and walked the narrow streets on the hillside. We found the state-run booze store and bought 3 bottles of wine for the coastal cruise (about $15/bottle vs. $50 on the ship).       ... two in Oslo. Camilla takes us in her car on tour again. Firstly we travel up to Holmenkollen the famous ski jump hill since 1892. It has been rebuilt 19 times. Completely demolished and rebuilt 2008 - 2010 a very impressive structure! Cathy remembers her visit here to the previous one when she visited 28 years ago.
