... could not convey the diversity of this unspoilt location. The cycle paths are fantastic either totally off road and normally sealed or on very quiet roads shared with extremely cycle friendly motorists. This would be the place to bring children cycling and as we cycled we came across many family groups cycling together. We cycled 80km. We left our accommodation just after 9am and returned around 6.15pm. The official cycle computer cycling time was 5 1/2 ...

We took our time to pack up and leave, but we were out by 11... We must be getting better at this. ... rules imposed. Also saw The Little Mermaid of Hans Christian Anderson fame ( and she IS little), an ancient boat and the Queens very modest yacht. Driving toward their area, green crops, old farmhouses with thatched roofs dotted here and there, the frequent appearance of the sea and crossing over bridges connecting Falster to Zealand, the main island where Copenhagen is located , the second connecting Falster ...

    A Lovely First Sail

For the first few hundred miles, of necessity we will have to call in harbours that we have been to previously. Now this goes against the grain a little but initially at least, there is little choice so our first stop, the port of Gedser on the island of Falster in Denmark, is an easy 30 miles away, ideal for our first day's sailing and the only sensible option ...
