    Gary & Michelle are the perfect hosts if this little oasis. Great rooms and beautiful location with home cooked local cuisine.

    ... back to our bure, a fellow resort member said in an adoring voice 'that was awesome.' We knew right then we'd made it in life....! Thoroughly exhausted by the activity, we relaxed some more until it was time for yet another tasty dinner.
    The frogs were out in full force when we headed to bed and we had great difficulty dodging them on the way back. We hoped the clouds would lift the next day.

    Malani, Jamie, Alex and I went for a walk into the Denarau Marina and went window shopping around various stores. I bought a couple of Fijian shirts; a bright red floral number and a nice white shirt with subtle floral arrangement; pretty good shopping for F$20 each; this was even cheaper than Nadi main street which I found surprising.

    ... watch them. They were good but not the best, one of them set his hair on fire briefly.. After they got everyone up dancing, felt a little bit like Butlins haha. Good fun though.

    ... awoken by a commotion on the beach outside. There was an entire rugby squad training on the sand in front of our bungalow. They were practicing their war dance and it was a very surreal sight just after waking up on a cloudy Fiji morning. It turned out to be a team from Australia who were touring Fiji and were using The Uprising as their base on the island.

    ... Celebrity Love Island’ (with ‘celebrities’ such as Callum Best and Sophie Anderton) and Australian ‘Beauty and the Geek’, to name a couple.
