There were no bugs! Other than the occasional grasshopper at night we had no bugs to speak of. We spent a few days at a similar open concept treehouse in Panama last year and there were a ton of bugs there. I was always worried about what I would wake up with there! ...
Rastas, prachtige natuur en vriendelijke mensen
... dichterbij de luchthaven. Dit was bij een Nederlandse vrouw, en ze had enkele prachtige kamers.
Kortom, Domincia was prachtig, iedereen zegt er altijd en overal goedendag tegen je, en de natuur is fantastisch. Enige nadeel is dat het eten er niet echt goed is, dit is blijkbaar iets waar ze niet zo veel aandacht aan willen besteden (rijst, bonen en kip). Maar we zijn dan ook meer dan verwend bij Roger en Michelle op St Maarten.

Down By the Bay
... southwestern tip to the northeastern tip. The roads are narrow, and today I drove up the steepest road I have ever driven--I was very scared our four-wheel drive in low gear would let loose, and we would fall in to the sea. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and we will be able to finish out our vacation! :) More obstacles to add to the driving: cows, goats, cats, chickens, bicycles, and Vespas. ...
Eighty-five Degrees
... wheel is on the righthand side. We rented a cute Suzuki four-wheel drive (mandatory to have 4-wheel drive here), bought extra insurance, and nervously loaded the lugguage in the car. Ted took the first turn at this new driving activity, and he and I were both a bit scared. I continually reminded him to stay left, and we made it to our hotel alive, but frazzled. I was glad it was only about a 20-minute drive.
