Italy was everything and more than I thought it would be. We saw some great sights, ate the best food and drank the best coffee in the world. We took over 1,200 pictures and now we have the job of sorting and editing.
Visit with fourteen relatives in one day. Can it be done? That's the question on my mind as we drove into Barrie, Ontario, around 6 pm on the July, 23rd.
We had a hard time finding our Holiday Inn Express Hotel because we were given some wrong directons by a variety store clerk, so the first hour we spent driving around lost. I luckily spotted the hotel from hwy 400 as we zoomed ...
... Provencial Park. We had a lovely picnic and then went for a canoe ride on Lake Marie Louise. The sun even came out for an hour or so. Barrie, Ontario, Canada silverbirch... plenty of time - but we had to scramble into the long line without stopping for a bit to eat and we barely got a seat together. I'm surprised there is no reserved seating for such a long trip. The breakfast car did not open this morning, I guess everyone else had time to eat except us! We'll just have to work on our bag of snacks until lunch time.
Washago, Ontario, Canada lollyAfter a long 7 and a half hour flight Leaving Canada landing in Gatwick London airport I found myself alone and waiting. Excited as I was and not knowing a thing about England my first experience of British culture was not that welcoming at all to say the least. Tired, Alone, and wondering when that boy would show. Curious of this new life I had coming for me, I stepped off the coach bus and had a drunken man yell in my face...................

Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada wasagadave... for her grandson, however, a good visit. With the rest of the afternoon at our leisure, Ken and Kim suggested a tour of Orillia and nearby Barrie where Ken worked. I managed to see all the things I should have in a rural Ontarian town, snow ploughs and the storage for the salt and sand for the icy roads, the orange sticks attached to fire hydrants to designate their whereabouts in times of thick snow, and of course, Harvey's, Loblaw's, Tim ...

With no running water, we were not surprised that the residents had either ...
