    ... road. This area was fun to drive through because we were driving right through the cliffs or canyon areas. The town seemed very cute and touristy! We kept driving and finally found Fort Steele Resort. We have great views of the Rockies and the property is right next to an ostrich and horse farm! Ostriches are so scary looking! It is very serene here all tucked in the mountains with ranches surrounding us! We are America bound tomorrow! Been great ...

We arrived in Fernie around 3 pm and took the opportunity to use the pool, the outdoor hot tub and take a long 2 hr walk around the Elk River and the town of Fernie. While the runs are a bit short compared to a ski resort the snow and lack of crowds more than make up for it, just be prepared to open up your pocket book CAT skiing is the opposite of cheap. I give my parents a pat on the back for a couple of 65 year olds they can ski better than most 30 year ...

    Today Ben and I headed up the hill for my first attempt at the chair lifts!

    ... just 16-21 yr olds on the first game of the new season.
    Sadly Fernie lost but the fights were cool. One was amazing and it was worth watching! Ben is now addicted!!
    Its such a fast paced game and I didnt get it (yet) but hopefully after watching a few games Ill pick it up. Cant wait for the next game. Hopefully get to see a big game while we are here which will be ace.
