    We had a long drive ahead of us today so were up by 06h00 and checked out and in the car by 07h00 - really impressive and excellent work by the kids and Pam (I was just a spectator- apart from packing the car). We were not too sure of the impact the US Government shut down would have on our trip as it only started at 24h00 but we did know that the National Parks would be affected and given that we were meant to camp in Yosemite this evening we decided to just take it as it came!!! ...
