      ... we allow each other our personal fantasies. We saw "As You Like It", set in post WWI Britain at the Swan Theater in Stratford-upon-Avon and it was very entertaining. We liked the addition of music, it enhanced the story telling without getting in the way. Bravo to the music director. Friday we spent the day in London. Shopping (see green patent leather shoes), sightseeing the Tower, Tower Bridge, and St. Paul's Cathedral for part of the Evensong Service. ...

      ... had been decorated with Poppies in remembrance of the blood shed on land and sea during the. First World War. The millions of poppies created a spectacular memorial for those lost and was very moving. London was heaving with people and it was quite fun to be part of it for a short time and great to be zapping here and there on the underground.       The dinner at Corpus was really nice. They served this really amazing chicken in some kind of gravy…so good. I sat with Ruth, Kate, and Tom, so Ruth and I got a chance to catch up. She is moving to Germany for a year in September to work at a publishing house! I am slightly jealous about the publishing house part.       ... Downton Abbey. They certainly could be capitalizing more on the popularity of the show. Oh well, it was something to see, and now when I watch Season 5, I will be able to say "I was there" when all the scenes at Highclere are shown. And I'll have to recall it all with the mind's eye, as no photography was allowed inside the castle. Guess they thought that was the best way to flog their Highclere ...
