We flew United who are very good and very well organised and you are allocated a group number on your boarding pass which they strictly adhere to.     April 16th: To make sure I arrived in time for my flight, I had to wake up at 5.50am, to catch a 6.15am shuttle to the airport. I don't know why I had to be on that shuttle, I arrived at the airport at 6.45am, for a 9.15am flight.
