... at Christmas time and it just sounds too delectable to pass up. We sample a bite, ogle at other goodies and make very difficult choices to bring home for a few folks. I say a few because we were terribly mindful of the temperature and not even sure it if would make it back to our hotel without melting. Darn hot in LA this fall; 84 degrees this day alone.

Intrigued by the shops, people and items for sale, I am taking pictures like crazy. In one particular ...

And, Marty hadn't been there in a while either. Lots of small shops selling huaraches, scarves, decorated skeleton heads, purses, candy and other assorted ware. I had a big sleep in to catch up on the jet lag. Got up and got coffee from Starbucks (thank god for Startbucks - the only thing close to Aussie coffee) Anitia arrived at the hotel at 3 and we headed straight for Universal Studios Hollywood! We caught the train to the studios... Paid a ridicules price for the fast pass ticket so we didn't have to line up but ...

... the front and it was great, even if I did cover my ears for the last bit of it with all the large fireworks. Following that we headed back to the hotel to pick up the car and steal the internet quickly to find out how to get in to the new place in Santa Monica, we then drove for about 50 minutes (it's usually 2 hours in LA traffic) and got to the new apartment at about half 11. We were so exhausted we just got our stuff in and headed straight to ...
