    5am and we're wide awake in downtown LA!!!!! Headed here from the airport yesterday and found ourselves a room for the night with the US equivalent of Basil Fawlty!!!! Did a bit of walking and then had a few Beers and a steak! LA downtown is really classy!!!!!!! Apart from the 300 people that asked us for coffee and nickels!!! Goodbye Hotel stop Hollywood!!!!!!!

    Today we woke up and went straight to the Rockefeller Centre, where we went to the 'Top of the Rock'. On the way up they showed how the building was made and had the classic photo of the men sitting on the steel bar above the city eating their lunch.     The church had given us 3 buses so that we could go out to where we needed to go. We all got loaded on the buses and off we went. The three buses split up and all went different ways. I was told we were heading the the retirement village close by.
