5am and we're wide awake in downtown LA!!!!! Headed here from the airport yesterday and found ourselves a room for the night with the US equivalent of Basil Fawlty!!!! Did a bit of walking and then had a few Beers and a steak! LA downtown is really classy!!!!!!! Apart from the 300 people that asked us for coffee and nickels!!! Goodbye Hotel Shitsville.....next stop Hollywood!!!!!!!

... point) we were around 30 meters behind the Hollywood sign, the sign is expectedly fenced off with cameras watching the fence and signs about being arrested and receiving fines - large and scary enough to persuade me against getting that golden photo.. On the walk we saw some great wildlife, that being in the form of a large spider that I decided to go Steve Erwin on and see if it had fangs.. It did.

I didn't have nearly as much time to work on it as I would have liked of course, and I accidentally originally made one border way too small and had to fix it. I'm pretty happy with how well I did fix it, regardless of the lack of perfection in the end. It adds character. I know you'll love it Dad (after you get it sized down :S)! Happy belated Fathers' Day!
