... weken van kan genieten, daarna gaan we langzaam de winter in (voor jullie zomer)
Gelukkig schijnt het winter seizoen in Kaapstad wel ideaal te zijn om te surfen, waar ik mij zeker ook fanatiek aan ga wagen.Het nadeel is wel dat er veel haaien voorkomen in kaapstad maar dit nemen we dan maar voor lief.

Kortom er staan mij heel wat spannende avonturen te wachten die ik hier graag met jullie wil delen.

Today we leave Ton & Ria to travel to Deurne to see Riny & Anita. Into the rental car and off we go, no problems getting out of Papendrecht and onto the motorway except we are heading in the wrong direction!! Bugger. A dodgy navigator I put it down to. Not that strange of course, since everyone has similar ideas about Japan and is therefore interested in the same things. Of course I had some sort of a whish list containing aspects that (ideally) would apply to my future apartment. Close to a train station, reasonable distance to work, shops in the neighborhood, not adjacent to a busy road... But to be honest I did not have much of an idea about what to expect, except that my apartment would be small.

... Our tour ended with a walk past many of Amsterdam's "coffee shops" and even at 10.00am you could smell that very distinctive smell! We started cruising in the afternoon and the countryside looks wonderful - very flat, but very productive. Tonight was our welcome dinner - only six courses, but everything was delicious. Tonight we are crossing into Germany, so stay tuned for more from Cologne ...
