Branson's Best for Family Fun!!!
We have vacationed at several resorts in Branson, but have finally found the Best . We have now been going to Stillwaters Resort for 4 years, and it keeps getting better every year.We love the Free pools, kayaks, paddle boats, bikes, even cane poles and inner tubes -all these things are Free !!! We rented a boat the 1st year, and to our surprise,it was brand new.Every boat -Pontoon,deck boats ,jet ski's-always new and really nice.we can't say enough about the fun we have!! They have a market on property, and a waterslide next to one the pools. The condo's our 1st class!!! They build something new evry year we come back.Trust me,you will love it!!! relaxing yet lots of fun!!!
Stillwater was OK
The resort was in a great location with beautiful surroundings. The condo we had overlooked the lake and also had a nice view. We did feel that the furnishings were way too sparse for the size of the condo. If you had more than 2-3 people you would have to sit on the floor in the living room. Also, the store was nice and well stocked when we went in on Sunday morning. We tried to go back the next few mornings but it was closed for the next three days that we were there. When we went the fishing dock and were going to go rent a boat, the workers locked up after they saw us coming and went to go work on the dock next to it. We waited 10-15 minutes for them to come back but they ignored us. Very rude in my opinion! All in all it was OK, but don't get your expectations too high.
Indian Points Greatest
We started visiting Stillwaters Resort four years ago with just a weeks trade with RCI, and since then we have started extending our "vacations"to six weeks, which was our last stay there. We have looked at other locations on Tablerock lake but as yet have found none that meet our expectations. Stillwaters is close to the water, has excellent dock and marina facilities, the condoes are well kept, the grounds are immaculate, and most of all the entire staff is friendly and willing to do everything to make your stay there enjoyable. One other advantage is they are only a fifteen minutes from Branson and only one mile south of Silver Dollar City.We have stopped looking and are going back next Fall for five weeks. The dates aren't fixed yet but we know they will make us welcome whenever we arrive. They can't be beat.
Having just returned from Still Waters, I would have to say that I can't wait to go back, hopefully with warmer weather! The 4th floor condo we had slept 9 of us well, had a porch overlooking the lake and was spotless when we arrived. Silver Dollar City is right on the doorstep, the outlook over the lake is great. The resort is quiet and seems well maintained. It took just a few minutes to drive through beautiful scenery to get to Branson. It was nice to be just outside the the town rather than right in the middle of everything. If we get to go again, kayaks (FREE rentals!!) are on the top of my "to do" list!
Nicest resort in branson
My family and I spent a week at Still Waters in October. The staff was particular friendly and our kids really loved the bikes and the park. The new condominium we stayed in was spacious, clean with a spectacular view of the lake. It was very pleasant to "get away from it all" while being so close to Silver Dollar City and Branson. We already have our vacation booked for next year and you can guess where we are going.
It was awesome - very nice people
We have four children from the age of 12 to 19. We went the week of August 14th thrue the 19th. The accomidations were excellent, the view was beautiful. We stayed in building F. We also brought our boat and had some trouble the first day. The marina staff were very helpful and we were able to enjoy our boat the entire time. We purchased a package program for all the fun parks in Branson and enjoyed the Water Park the best. All the activities at the resort really helped keep the kids busy. We will defenitaly be back to this resort.
Wonderful Family Resort
We just returned from a week at Still Waters Resort and had a wonderful time. We had a 2 bedroom condo that slept 8. It had a nice balcony overlooking the lake. The unit was immaculately clean and fully stocked including a vacuum cleaner, washer/dryer, ironing board & Iron and all kitchen necessities. There are 3 pools, one with a water slide, and a game room.
It is a wonderful resort if you own a boat. Two free boat launch sites and covered slips for $12 per night. If you do not have your own boat, you can rent one on site. (Bass Boats, Pontoon Boats, or speed boats. Also can rent jet ski's and all ski or tubing equipment.) Paddle boats, fishing poles, bikes, inner tubes are free.
The store is adequate, but pricey. There were no planned activities and no mid-week cleaning. But there is a towell exchange available. The only negative for us was the lack of a restaurant, and there isn't one nearby. You have to drive into town, approx. 6 miles.
Great place - hope to go back.
We just returned from our weeks stay at Stillwaters Resort. We had a cabin closet to the lake. Its a little house really. Two bedrooms, one queen in one room and two queens in another. Air conditioned, tub and shower, full kitchen, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, large dining area looking out to the lake, living area with TV, covered porch with a barbeque grill overlooking the lake. The cabins are SPOTLESS! There is no maid service but big deal..the towel exchange is just steps from your cabin, and if you need the floor vaccumed just call and ask, we rented a very very nice 2004 deck boat for 4 hours right there at the dock, absolutely fabulous, you can get all tickets to all shows and attractions right on the property and there is a grocery store there as well...if you need more there is a Walmart less than 5 miles away. Silver Dollar City is less than two minutes away. There are bikes, paddle boats and kiakes available for FREE yes FREE!! you wake up every morning with a view of the lake if you get a cabin, we met a couple there and they showed us there condo, they are very nice as well and most have a fireplace...SO NICE and every single person that works there is just the nicest!! You can rent movies and there are THREE pools. Its the best vacation we have had in a long time OH and there is the cutest dog named Buck, he lives in the neighborhood but hangs out by the lake all the time. If you see him barking at a rock, that means he wants you to go to the lake with him and throw it in. He will dive in and go under the water to get it, he is so cute. Its the best resort on the lake and I've stayed at most of them. Trust me, look no further, stay at Still Waters, you won't be sorry.
We just got back from our vacation at Stillwaters Resort. We rented the poolside motel room with kitchenette. The room was adequate but it would have been nice to know there is not maid service for 129.00 per night.
You had to trade in towels in the morning at a separate building and pick up extra TP and trash bags. I would have loved to have the carpet vaccummed atleast once.
The marina staff (very nice) and accommodating when we had to reschedule because of a storm. The whole resort lost electricity for 3 hours. I realize that is an act of nature but had the weather became worse it would have been a bit scary.
The marina was probably our favorite part of the trip and the location on the water was nice. The resort is alittle ways from the city so be prepared to drive a bit to get in town.
Our biggest concern was the lack of security. We rarely saw a staff person on site. About 3 hours after we checked in a staff person walked into our room without knocking and stated "Oh, I see you already checked in". It alarmed our teenage daughter.
Better indoor facilities would be a plus especially when it's rainy. There is a small game room (coin operated) but thats about it. How about free pingpong tables or pool tables.
The bayside market was disappointing because of the high prices. We drove in town to Walmart and purchased what we needed rather than paying the marked up prices.
Our kids, 13 and 16 became board because there were very few kids their age.
I swam in the pool without the waterslide because it was less crowded. Younger kids seemed to frequent the other pool.
I'm not sure we would stay here again although others may find it adequate. Maybe with your own boat and a condo room you would enjoy it more.
Great Family Vacation
Our entire family stayed here for five days and had a wonderful time. The two bedroom condos were clean and comfortable, though the kitchen dishes/pots/pans in our unit were very basic and the shower in the master bedroom was small. There was a separate whirlpool tub in the master bedroom that was large and had a nice view out the window.
There were three pools and the kids enjoyed each one. They also loved the free paddle boats and kayaks.
The location is great - on a quiet part of the lake with lots of trees but just down the road from Silver Dollar City. It only took us 15 minutes to get into Branson and the drive was lovely. We especially enjoyed our dinner at the Hard Luck Diner at the Grand Village. Matt the waiter gave a great performance of Unchained Melody. My niece bought his CD and got his autograph!
Over all this was a great family vacation and we would love to do it again!

... large. After lunch we drove down the highway containing most of the tourist attractions but didn’t stop at any. In the historic part of down town Branson we rode the tourist trolley; and then strolled around, going into several stores but buying very little. We did not find any shows that interested us, that were performing today, so we had dinner back at the camper and watched TV.
... tour of the battlefield and surrounding area. Wilson’s Creek played a significant role in the Civil War as it was the first major battle west of the Mississippi River. We enjoyed our short stay here as it was another piece of the amazing yet disturbing puzzle that is the Civil War. Leaving Wilson’s Creek we headed south on US 65 and our next campground in Branson MO.
Driving down the main street to Branson, MO reminded us of 'the strip' in Las Vegas-just with a country music flair. There are many shows here-variety, comedy, gospel music, country music, and magic shows to name a few. Our Lodge is a wonderful respite from the main street-spacious room, beautiful pool and lots of amenities. "Monkey in the middle" and volleyball were ...

Beautiful day today about 30C with low humidity, great for my last tour of the area. Today I thought I would take it easy and take a relaxed journey this time. Well, that lasted about two curves and then I poured on the heat :-).
Reminiscing about yesterdays trip and today's, I saw more poverty in Southern Missouri (villages made up of old house trailers, Dollar General and ...
