... in bigger cities. I shared a wine with Clive later before he headed back to the farmhouse to collect Nick on the way to Andratx for dinner. We stayed on in Palma and dined alfresco "Mari Lin Cafe Lounge". I ordered a chicken curry. I should have known better.
Back at the farmhouse, the girls began their packing. They depart for Paris tomorrow. It will be a sad moment for Debbie.
We dropped William and the girls off at Santa Ponca beach after a late breakfast and Chris and I had a coffee nearby.
Clive and Cathryn brought them home after a few hours on the beach.
It was time then for a late paella lunch at Port Adriano. There were many expensive boats and superyachts moored in Port Adriano. It also ...
... enjoying their afternoon beer. Nope definitively not afternoon, it's only near 8:30 am, yep and they're already into the Guinness and full pints of lager. As I order my breakfast I contemplate having a glass of wine, hmmmm no too strong, wait! How about a mimosa! Nope, they either don't know what I'm asking for or they don't have it. Wtf. Ok no morning drink for me, I opt for a good clean water.
As I wait for my gate ...

After lunch, Cathryn tried to find a supermarket in Peguera known for its butcher to purchase some nice steaks for ...
It never rains in Mallorca (in Summer) ..... it pours! Well, at least it did in Calvia, at the farmhouse that Clive and Cathryn rented. It's a lovely farmhouse/villa with swimming pool and orchard with orange trees.
Chris and Clive ran a taxi service today - running the kids back and forth from Magalluf and Camp de Mar. The boys apartment was in Magalluf and Nikki ...

This is the second year in a row i have been to the delfin azul.
Great holiday every one very nice.
Best of the bunch is pep the head waiter. Hes is one in a million.
Reception staff always helpful and up for a chat.
Food was a bit more basic than when me and the family visited in 2005. but still very nice.
Would recomend this hotel to anyone visiting alcudia as it is right smack bang in the middle close enough to walk to the bars and shops ect but far enough away not to hear them in the early hours..
Just returned for the 2nd year on the trot to this outstanding hotel, I feel it has improved more than last year, air conditioning now installed, food at the pool side has improved considerably, as we didn't rate that last year - 100% improvement. The staff were again friendly and helpful, alot of the same staff, so that shows that it must be a nice place to work. We travelled as a large group with a mixture of grandparents, parents and children, all of different ages from 3 to 68 and we all had a great holiday. Thanks again Delfin Azul for a great holiday, hope to visit next year.
Just back on May 25th from a great week, so sorry to leave!!! The staff were excellent throughout as was the variety of entertainment. Rooms are now airconditioned which is a real plus. The food is good and the complex is spotless. The beach across a busy road is beautiful, a really good all round 3star choice especially for kids.
We stayed at the delfin azul between 1st and 8th may 2006, the hotel is very clean the food choices were good and varied and all of the staff are very helpful and most speak english. The only down side to the hotel is the location next to a busy main road and the area around the hotel is mostly residential, however the beach and shops/ restaurants are around 5-10 minutes walk. The hotel has an excellent entertainment programme including mini-disco, bingo a quiz and bands etc... The chiildren's play area is quite small and located away from the main seating / pool area, there is a large trampoline which for two euros kids can have around ten minutes use. The bus stops outside of the hotel and whilst there we visited Palma for around £6 return, travelling time around one hour and Puerto Pollensa just half an hour up the coast approx £1.50 return, beautiful peaceful beaches, lovely cafes/restaurants and good views, both are worth a visit as is Alcudia old town which is very peaceful apart from on a Sunday when the town square is taken over by the market.
We have just stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time in 4 years and it seems to just get better.
What a great holiday!
My family and I stayed at the Delfin Azul hotel in Alcudia from 11th july to 25th july 2005. I would, without a doubt, thoroughly recommend this hotel. The food was outstanding, the service was very thorough, we had maid service every day, and the staff at the hotel were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, my 2 sons aged 14 and 17, myself and my husband aged 35, and my mother in law aged 56. Which goes to show that the hotel caters for all ages. We would all definitely consider choosing the Delfin Azul as our next holiday hotel.WELL DONE!!!!
