... we can find inside our heads to remember, order, prioritise and be thankful. Immense satisfaction is achieved as every kilometre is counted down and personal achievement is sweet. So back to the 'rat race' and our speeding cars, but I pray I wont forget to walk so that I will be forever intimately connected to this beautiful planet, its grandeur and the intricacy of the creation and consequently experience the satisfaction of being apart of it. ...

Off the path we stopped to look at ancient way markers, burial mounds, and grouse with ...

We started with a climb up Round Hill, the penultimate C2C climb. Once we reached the summit we again had beautiful views across to the east and back at yesterday's path over the 3 hills. The rest of the walk was along an easy plateau. Since entering the North Yorkshire Moors the the quality of the paths ...

... and headed off into traffic. Found Stickley residence without incident, lots of traffic near the on ramp of the motorway but managed that ok. Made very welcome from the get go, relaxed and cooled down and then Janet brought out some pastries to have with beer (David) and my rhubarb and ginger juice which was so refreshing. Met their two daschunds, Frank and Roly . A year old and very sweet. Steve's niece Anna, and her NZ husband Phil joined us for a bbq ...
