... Arrived at hotel and had shower and warmed up. Put the A/C unit to heat. First time on this trip. Ordered in a pizza for lunch and then I tested out the bed quality with a nap. Well I use the term losely as not sure when a nap becomes a sleep but I just couldn't get up. Not even for a milkshake.

Went to dinner at Golden Coral and had a good feed. Other American observation-their lemonade is usually flat.

I miss having metal cutlery at breakfast too...

6/26 Day 5 Downpour after downpour and rain in between. We are still camped at Deer Ridge in Richmond IN, and took the opportunity to go the 75 miles Indianapolis to go to the Tamale Place. This was on our list of "must do" items since Peg saw it featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. It was a difficult trip due to the heavy rain and traffic tie ups. We took an hour going one mile, then had another tie up for almost hour. We left the camper with plans to eat at ...

The other contrast was that we saw no mules in their fields for pulling the equipment, it was all work horses or driving stock.

We are staying at Deer Ridge Camping Resort. It is an older campground that did a wonderful job of leaving lots and lots ...

... we returned to Sharpsburg for a nice lunch at a bar/pub in town. We capped off our meal with a couple of scoops of homemade ice cream at Nutter’s Ice Cream shop, which we seemed to hit before the ice cream happy hour. When we entered the store, we were the only customers. When we finished, the line was 20 deep.

Mark had booked a Hampton Inn studio suite in Richmond, Indiana. We were making good time, planning to ...

... br> I went on my way and I felt like I was being watched and I kept having to look behind me to check. I had walked many miles before but these seemed more difficult, it was like there was less air in this altitude. I fell down a few times because I was exhausted from walking. I finally reached this chapel looking building and I went to walk up towards it and I stepped on a rock and it slipped and then I slipped ...
