Off the beaten path looking for ruins

My favorite thing was doing penguin and sitting on my bum going backwards.

Penguin is going on my belly like a penguin.

When we arrived and we climbed to a big mountain it is about 2000 meters high.

And it was a really sunny day but there was snow everywhere.

We could sunbake but I was playing in the snow.

After a big 6 hour drive we arrived in Gernsbach, Germany.

Along parts of the German autobahns there was no speed limit.

Greg was driving up to 165 kph and still cars were flying past us, and made us look like we were doing walking pace.

Crazy!

We had a great day at Merhur Mountain.

We caught the old funicular tram up to the top and found snow.

... we spent some time chatting, they made me dinner, and they showed me genealogy charts for my ancestors. My male cousin is very interested in genealogy and he traced our common line back to the 1600s in Soltau, Germany. My cousins are also avid travellers and they showed me a DVD about some of the places that they visited.
