... out of this town for the train system east west and north south tracks. We stopped and had some hot chocolate and pasties as a lunch. Since today is Sunday basically everything is shut down or closed. I mean hardly anything is open on Sunday at all. Very few restaurants and basically not stores open. In train stations have more open for travelers but the towns are like ghost towns. Very eerie!! We arrived to Aarau with no problems and fairly quickly for 58km ...

... that didn't continue. The boarding went without problems, the plane even left in direction of the runway but then the captain announced that there was a problem with the deicing on one of the engines so we had to return back to the gate. We had to stay in the plane, got the snack and first drinks and I had enough time to watch a whole film. That's how long we had to wait, two full hours!!

The following day was our busiest. We couldnt do the specific William Tell Express bc the timing didnt work out for all that we had planned so we did the route on a normal train and headed into Lucerne. Its a must. Then we took a boat to Weggis where we ran up a hill, with all our luggage...poor parents-in-law...to catch a cabble car up ...

I am on the train back to Nyon after a "parfait" (perfect in French, my favorite French word) weekend! On Friday I took a 2.5 hour train to Zurich and explored around the city on my own for a few hours. Very lovely city, and very walkable. I walked up the Bahnhofstrasse, which according to my guidebook, is called the best shopping street in Europe. There were MOBS of people lined up and down the street for the new iPad 2 which was funny. Very lively and fun city, ...

      ... was shocked.

We found our own little park down town where we spent the night. It seemed safe enough until we arose to find a parking fine attached to our windshield. 40 Francs?! No thanks! We drove away in a huff to look for a better safer spot only to find that practically the whole city had a 3 hour cap on parking. It was a nightmare. And as for the parking fine? They are not touching our money! Dirty pirates!
