Crete-the wine, the food, the hospitality and kitties! Crete is known for the cats-a pretty healthy bunch of semi-feral cats that are all over the island. A bit like the chickens in Kauai the cats are just a part of the backdrop. A few of them are exceptionally friendly and Auntie Charlotte has a few on her list to come home with her:)

I have had this trip.  it was a wider pasta noodle and you could taste and feel the freshness as you bit into it.  Fresh tomatoes, big mushrooms, chicken and pancetta in a tomato sauce.  That was just what the doctor ordered - with half a bottle of red wine.  Overall, it has been an amazing day, and I can't help but pause with graditude and reflect how blessed I am to have the means, the support and the time to be on this journey.      ...
