... all and maybe shuttle over to the terminal (I'm not actually sure what the alternative was, but this was obviously much better....) at the curb, a guy had a trolley ready for us to throw all of our luggage on straight out of the car, then he wheeled it to our American Airlines counter. No lines and we checked in all our luggage and set off to go through security to go through to our gate lounge. Not too long of a line in security. In America adults ...

... every Asian person in Louisiana was checking in to the same flight as me to transfer in Chicago. It felt like I was in a mini China town. My bag weighs exactly 51.5 lbs (1.5 lbs over the limit) and I was SOOO grateful when the lady working behind the counter gave me a little wink and told me I would see my bag again in Shanghai, and didn’t charge me for the extra! I made it to the gate with only 5 minutes to spare.

... tried my best to annoy him and found myself hilarious (as did he in the end). We were feeling pretty tired by the evening so we watched a film in the room and then went for a quick bite to eat in a Chinese restaurant near the hotel so we could get an early night. The Chinese restaurant was actually quite good and I was happy as they had prawns with caramelised pecans on the menu, my favourite.

... Paul opted out due to the drive to the next hotel tonight. It was a fun night. Always great to see the Hogans.

Off to Madison, Wisconsin tonight to sleep and on the Dells tomorrow for some water fun! Check back tomorrow. ... to have skyscrapers, so the work of notable architects is on display everywhere. It's makes for an impressive skyline (when it's not behind fog) especially being on the shores of Lake Michigan. Also whilst it's got a strong sports culture this is balanced out by the strong Arts culture so there's are roundedness or maturity about the city that Melbourne lacks. It was also pretty neat to see some very familiar sites from movies and TV ...
