... were made by stacking stones (stones is probably an understatement - these are big boulders) into a self supporting conical shape with a large (3 metre wide) slab of granite at the top. Impressive. This village was discovered in then1950's and has not been completely explored yet. This village dates from about 900BC. That's old, really old. ... BBQ & quite a number of Corsican wines with them. Both really nice families who we'd love to see again. Stew went for a hike on his own in preparation for a climb with Myles. What a surprise that it almost turned into a natural disaster movie. Stew thinks more like Cliffhanger! He came home scratched and bruised and a little sheepish. Baa! ... way to the waterfront. We have picked a bar/restaurant that has a wood fired pizza oven, and we are currently drinking beers while looking out over a beautiful little marina. It is very quiet - we really are at the end of tourist season. Most of the really big hotels and resort complexes are closed up until next summer. ... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water.
