We decided to explore a bit further south and have a look at Sozopol. It's another ancient town, but not a World Heritage site like this one. Took about an hour to drive there - managed to resist the temptation to stop in Burgas this time - and arrived in one piece despite some of the dreadful driving we saw.

... Jerry tried the cold soup (torrator????) like runny tzatziki in a glass to be drunk through a straw. How odd - it tasted fine, and I honestly think that if I ate it with a spoon, I'd like it. But couldn't get past drinking garlic through a straw. I guess I'm not ready for Heston yet!

... bit tricky to drive to and find our hotel because we a had to have a permit to drive into the old town, but once here, we have a lovely room with everything we need - except a kettle. I asked for one at reception. Response: 'Ve don't hev. Maybe restaurant hev hot vater.' (No smile).
