... 776BC and the connected temple complex with phenomenal. The site was complete with intact mosaic floors, grandstands and gyms. An unfortunately timed earthquake toppled some of what would have been the more amazing temples but did not take away from the site as a whole. A couple of Gyros later we made it to Patra. ... left Ireland. Even on trains I usually have loads to do or am so far behind on the blog that I can’t relax. The boat trip would be 22 hours and I had nothing to do for that time, how wonderful! Once again I had taken the cheapo option by only booking a seat rather than a berth, 70 Euro as opposed to 200. This time I couldn’t have had it better.
