... was fantastic and served in a rather posh restaurant. Everyone in here was dressed up extremely smart for dinner and somehow i felt rather out of place as its not really the kind of place for a hairy biker such as myself.
Dinner over and its back to my lovely little hotel room and a well earned rest. After all the travelling recently I could quite well just stay here for two nights and relax but somehow I think i will save that till Venice.

26.10.14 Left Schwangau today and drove through Austria with snow all around us and to the Waldheim Hotel in the Valle Di Casies in the heart of the Dolomites. There is snow all around us but the roads are clear. It is a really picturesque area, not much to do except admire the scenery. We checked into the Hotel and went for a long walk, the Hotel has a restaurant so we will have dinner there. Stayed in our room and played scrabble ...

From Wikipedia, I've learned that Bolzano was recognized as the #1 city in Italy in 2010 for quality of life. In 2011, Bolzano came in second to Bologna. After visiting both of these cities, we understand why -- we loved them both.

Today, the 5 of us, plus John and Daniela headed off to Trento for the day, a gorgeous little town south west of Fiera. Today we went up to San Martino in the morning to Nonna Mela's house for a visit, and to take her out for lunch. She knitted Paul and I a cardigan each, and bought the boys all a T-shirt which was really nice. Nicolas wanted to learn how to knit so she is teaching him, it is very cute to watch.
