Krakow was the one city's that Marilyn really wanted to visit. I on the other hand did not know much about it & didn't know what to expect. So far it has been one of our favourite destinations. We stayed at a pension called Tango House, which was 1 block from the centre of the "Old City" (a great location). We arrived into Krakow Poland, on the night train from Vienna. The train station is new (just opened 3 months) and is connected to ...

... I would just keep our mouths closed…. I spent the rest of the afternoon just walking the cobblestone streets and enjoying people watching and not having to do too much. As the evening arrived the tourists crowds thinned out and it felt more like having the town to myself, much nicer!

... the town. We kayaked 16 KM in total including 4 big rapids that you have to cross by going into concrete "chutes". (Jen 3, Rapids 1) In hindsight, an inflatable raft might have been easier but less cool! I took some cool pictures of the rapids too.

We just spent our last 100 crowns (about $5) at the Mini-Mart and got 3 large beer, 1 bag of chips and a big chocolate bar. Super-score!

... minute drive to Cesky Krumolv.

Finally in Cesky Krumlov we seeked out to find our hotel which was on the other side of the town center from the bus station. Going by memory from the maps I studied on the Internet I was able to navigate us across the river, through the narrow, steep and winding roads of the town center, across the river again and down a narrow road to the hotel.

We checked in around four o'clock, got settled ...
