        ... staying in a room on the top floor for one night. To get to the room we had to climb three flights of stairs. It didn't take us long to decide we would leave our bags in the car and only bring up a few items for the evening. The room is is surprisingly well appointed and large with an ensuite. The bed is firm as has been the case in a lot of the places we have stayed to date.

        ... started frowning. I went back and moved it; eventually to the official carpark. Just hope that they don’t clamp it for being chained to a post rather than taking up a slot. Parking here is impossible near the old town.

        Having got settled in and changed to reasonable clothes went for an explore; its a quaint original old town in a beautiful setting. I’m definitely staying a few days and also want some time to get used to a new country; there’s no euro!

        ... the raft, went and got changed out of our wet clothes, and then met up again for dinner. Found a restaurant, sat outside and ate with a few beers. Then moved on to another pub for a few more drinks, but all of us were tired due to the fresh air we had during the day.
