Today we decided we were going to get up and do something cultural. We decided to go to Rasnov fortress/ castle... or so we thought.

The tours from the hostel and other company's to the castles were pretty expensive and a man at the hostel that it was cheaper and easy to get to it by public transport. So this is what we did. We brought our tickets for the number 16 bus at a very reasonable price, 2 lei ...

It was easy to imagine Dracula scaling insect like up the sheer rock worming his way into a narrow hole where his sacred soil and coffin await. Inside the castle becomes a little less imposing it seemingly shrinks in size and become a nice retreat for the Romanian Royal family in the inter war period.
