... goodness. I was in heaven.

We strolled along for awhile then headed back to the house to put the kids to bed. Then the magic happened. Martin made actual Swiss fondue, like the REAL DEAL fondue with Kirsch and cheesy wonderfulness. It was Amazing and the best meal we had the entire trip! The boys went outside for cigars and Cognac and the ladies stayed inside and caught up on each others lives. It was a late night but it was so wonderful to see what the Rupperts had been up ...

  • I caught the tram to Bankverein and took a few snaps of the Tinguely fountain, a crazy fountain made of contraptions / mechanisms that spray water in every direction.
  • From there I walked to the Basler Papiermuhle (paper museum). It was rated as one of the top things do to in Basel. When I got there the entrance was 15 francs. I could be bothered paying that much and instead went and sat on the bank of the Rhein river just out front.

    ... what I have done previously. It is a bit more expensive but the cars are not very crowded and very comfortable. On our trip from Zürich to Munich we were advised to reserve seats so I guess that is a more heavily traveled route. WEDNESDAY Today is a travel day.
