tonight a small group of us , all took a walk into mainz central to try and find a bar ....
the only bar we could find was pretty empty and had not athmosphere .
so we decided to go for a walk further into town to try and find a new spot ..
on the way I stopped a german girl . and I asked her where the is to go and have some ...
That was quite a long flight! The time difference has me confused about the length of the flight, but here in Germany it is just before noon on April 14th. I had a good time, in spite of the long plane ride. I watched Interstellar for part of it, read my Bill Nye book, and reflected a bit. And when we landed, I got my first passport stamp! ... Instead of boarding directly to the plane, we got herded onto a bus and driven to our plane about a mile away on the tarmac. There were a lot of other planes parked on the tarmac from all over the world. I especially noted a Russian and Ukranian airliner parked next to each other.
We settled in for the 11-hour nonstop back to Houston arriving on schedule just before 7:00 PM.
Travel is great but getting back home is the best part.
