We checked into our hotel around 4 pm & immediately walked to the shopping district to get Kareem some essentials (he ran out of socks & undershirts, which is why I insist on packing him :-) ) We returned to the hotel, took a quick shower & checked into the hotel's day spa. Kareem made himself a 90 minute massage appointment & me a 75 minute facial …
We had been booked for Spain for 6 months when we found out that we needed to delay our trip for a week due to our daughter playing in an important volleyball tournament. There were no frequent flyer tickets left, and rather than miss a year we reworked our agenda. I was able to book a week at the Conrad Hilton in Brussels with Hilton points and we …
There an old joke in Texas about an old Bull and his new young replacement. The young bull up on a hill looks down on all the cows below and suggests 'Let's run down the hill and make love to one of those lovely cows down there". The Old Bull looks at the younger and replies "No, let’s walk down the hill and make love to all of them” < …

The apartment had everything available for our stay (linen, towels, kitchenware, oven, microwave, tv and even free WiFi Internet access). As it was already late, we agreed to meet again downstairs at the lobby in 10 minutes, to go outside and find a restaurant for dinner. The next adventure was to find a ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Steigenberger Grandhotel Brussels
The rooms in this hotel are quite nice. They definitely live up to 5-star standards including a very nice all marble bathroom. The services in the hotel are good in that any problems encountered were addressed by the front desk staff very quickly and efficiently.
First the good - hotel is in a beautiful area of Brussels, along the Avenue Louise where you will find many lovely shops and restaurants. Also, the hotel itself is gorgeous and our room was enormous, especially by European standards. We joked that the bathroom at the Conrad was the same size as our entire room at our recently departed Paris hotel! Extremely clean.
I stayed at The Conrad over the new year. First impressions were that we were virtually the only people there - it was dead! It's a great hotel, large and luxurious rooms and bathrooms, and certainly one of the best beds I've ever experienced in a hotel. The sports and leisure facilities are amazing although on Dec.31 04 there were signs going up saying that Chamneys who ran it was pulling out so I'm not sure what is happening with the pool and spa now.
Second time I have stayed at the Conrad and it did not fail to impress. Fast efficient check in and up to my large, airy, light room. Big bathroom with separate shower and the best pillows I have seen in a hotel for a long time. Diner was again efficient and yet relaxed. There is always a doorman or other member of staff around to help you. Only slight downside is the lounges seem to be busy with business meetings and everyone seems to be smoking.
But overall, great location, right in the middle of all the designer shops. Expensive hotel in an expensive loctation, but worth it.
Stayed at the Conrad for one night in Feb 04. Was a very nice stay and hotel. The check in staff showed us up to our room personally, and it was a fantastic room. Huge bath, walk in shower, reception area, and big bedroom. We had no complaints, house keeping dealt with requests for towels etc very quickly. Bell man was very friendly and polite. They congratulated us on having the best and biggest room in the hotel that was a suite. I only booked a standard room, so assume it was an upgrade :-)
Probably the best in Brussels
A very good hotel in a city where most of the hotels are fairly anonymous. Standard of accomodation is excellent and the public areas of the hotel are very impressive. We had a slight glitch with the bill which took a bit of sorting out after we left but generally the staff were very friendly.
My husband, myself and two friends recently stayed in the Conrad Brussels for three nights. What a wonderful stay we had. The hotel was immaculate and set in a very prestige area. Breakfast was included in the package, such a variety, all tastes were catered for. The only negative point I would make was the extra charge for use of leissure complex. The excellence of the hotel was matched only by the competence and professionalism of the staff.
The Conrad at Brussels
I had a romantic arrangement at the Conrad (20th anniversary of marriage). We waited 2 hours for the cold breakfast. The room service was non-excistent. At the desk I made a complaint. They put a form in front of me without speaking a word. After that I never heard about the Conrad ever again. Not even a appology. I guess they put the form in the trash bin.I never go to a Conrad hotel ever again !
I would gladly recommend this hotel, in my opinion it is nicer than the Metropole for two reasons, firstly, the staff are much nicer they are friendly and very professional, the rooms are nicer too, what you see on their web site is what you get unlike the Metropole whose pictures are completely misleading leaving you disappointed upon arrival.
