After breakfast we head for Omis . A short walk through the Old town and we board our small boats to head up the river . We hear the story of the pirates that operated from this area and pillaged the ships en rout to Venice . High forts on very steep cliff faces were lookout posts and then small fast boats would be dispatched to encircle larger ships and attach them.
