      Today we are back on the ferry to Como, walk along the foreshore to check out some large villas on the west side - now all owned by the Como Provincial Government, then onto the 'fast boat' and up to Menaggio which is midway north up the lake.       Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.

      ... shop for their clothes, but we had trouble finding sizes for Victoria. Cameron also discovered high st Milan looked very like high st Paris and London. He didn't manage to buy and after 3 hours, Victoria bought clothes in the last shop we had time for! Whew, that's her suitcase full!
