... of the trip. The first exhibition was about models, modern pop culture and some play on those concepts, the second (my favourite) was a slightly brown/sepia and white portrait and occasional landscape photography exhibition of the struggle of animals in Africa against humans (global warming and hunting) - gee this guy was good and must have spent a LONG time in Africa to get such great shots, and the last was one of the first ...

Public transportation here is efficient and punctual. Methodical and practical. The metro stations however, allow for the quirky, shoes on the ceiling, the bold, entire platforms painted in red, the historical, artefacts from demolished buildings, and the practical, ground water becoming water features, snaking neon tubes for lighting. ... I associate reading with 1) learning materials that need to be memorized and 2) following directions to complete a task at hand successfully. How sad is that!

My Kindle gave out back in August after I finished Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking. Yes, I think that was the last book I read for fun. After that, September and on, I have been consumed with reading to learn Swedish or find my ...

Yay Friday! As mentioned before, several museums are free on Fridays. Gabi and I decided to check out the history museum, open from 11-5. It was a gorgeous day!! The best weather since I got here. We biked along the waterfront-- the water was glistening and the colors of the buildings really came out! Then we stopped to let a swarm of people clad in black cross the street... The history museum featured almost exclusively prehistory and the Vikings. There wasn't any modern ...
