... warm and dinner was warmer and super filling.
Sunday I woke up to sunshine and packed up camp. I rode down to the Fort Fisher-Southport ferry terminal with my bike and my pannier bags packed with my winter coat, extra bike tube, pump, reading materials and a map (which I didn't really use). The ferry was sunny, windy, spectacular. About 20 cars joined me and McFuji on the 30 minute ride. Families came out tossing crackers at the seagulls, trying to teach them ...
... t have asked for a nicer place to stay. You just walk out of the door, straight on to the beach. Their dog, Hollis, and Oscar were both so excited to have a playmate, they wouldn't leave each other alone.
A few beach walks, two new tires and a couple of lovely dinners later, I'm about to start heading West, towards Atlanta, Georgia.
