... culture, and a lot of my time has been in touristy areas, so it could be clouded by people who are paid to deal with foreigners. But one of the biggest things that struck me was how open and friendly everyone was. Not only that, but many of the people we encountered just seemed more relaxed and just "real" to me.

Again, I don’t know if this is because I didn’t encounter anyone for more than a few days maximum, but there just seemed to be ...

    Meg's Reflections about Italia

... I was so proud of myself for creating this beautiful, expandable folder with slots for each destination. I printed off train ticket confirmations and hotel addresses and contacts. And then I realized... I really don't need it. And it takes up a TON of space. Instead, I've made all of the documents available offline in Google Drive and I'll access them from my phone.

There are a few maps that we'll be using - I'll just pack those in my hiking bag ...

... I will travel by train to NYC to stay with Ruth for a day before the flight to Copenhagen. We hope to get a little site seeing in while in NY and take in a good Williamsburg restaurant.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that the pending strikes in Iceland will not impact our travels. Of course we are traveling though Iceland on IcelandAir. It's not worth stressing about. We'll ...
