There's not a huge amount to do for free in Toronto, and it's really quite cold outside, so we were thrilled with Allan Gardens.
On day three we decided we were bold enough to take other routes and ventured North not West take pictures of all the pretty houses along the way.

... you go in (if you want to pay) there were no lights but a bunch of glow paint so i guess the walls might have said things or something.... we didnt get them and had a GREAT time.
It was time to go now.... so we went out the front and waited in the freezing cold... realizing what we thought was prepared for winter wont even come close... since it was still above 0 degrees and it was unbearible.
So its time for some more research and a trip to the thrift store next weekend.
After breakfast this morning we waited until lunchtime for our ride to Johannasburg for our flight to London. Unfortunately it was delayed by 1hour and the result of that was we missed our connecting flight to Toronto from London and went standby for the next flight. Flight times were 11hours from Johannasburg to London and 8 hours from London to Toronto. It was a long haul and we were pretty tired when we got home but it was nice to see family ...
... last throughout the evening and even the fact that the Blue Jays were so close to winning but then just messed up with one pitch could not ruin this day for me.
The kids (and I) had a blast and I am still smiling remembering the fact I have finally seen a live baseball game and been in a stadium as beautiful as the Rogers Center with its view of the magnificently lighted CN Tower at night.
