... forward to returning to Florida after the worst February Toronto has experienced. I lost track of how many consecutive days below freezing they experienced.

When we got to Florida I found myself reading Jodi Picoult's book entitled "Leaving Time". To my surprise it is a story about two scientists, a male in a United States sanctuary and a female ...

... and were even given a bottle of beer to keep you going whilst listening to the tour guide. 1 more small beer later and we were back out into the sunshine with a cold 6 pack and a bottle opener. Dumped the beer back at the hotel and decided to go find the Restaurant we are going to tonight , once found (5 mins walk ) we decided to investigate the PATH, an underground network of paths, linking Toronto districts together. ... it would've been nice to have had someone with me. I felt there was something familiar about the place. There is many small things in common with home. Unfortunately its only down-fall is the horrendous traffic. And way too many people for my liking. I like my tiny city, that really shouldn't be called a city. It was nice to visit, anyway. The people share some similarities ...

I am one of the luckiest women in the world. I have a wonderful family, amazing friends and an adventure of a lifetime ahead of me. What a great way to feel as I turn 40!

However, last night, my dear friend Bindu Cudjoe told me something interesting - "I need more action, Turner!" Pardon? She then clarified and said that ...

Two days. Two days until I travel halfway around the world for a month. It's kinda hard to believe that it's actually happening this week.

I remember talking to Kristie about this in January and thinking that this would be such a fun thing to do.

Now, two days before we leave, it sounds less fun and more stressful.

Still, even though there are lots of reasons to be apprehensive, we are excited for what adventures lie ahead.
