... their corporate center. Some of the signs we saw mentioned public tours of some of the facilities. I’m guessing we won’t be doing that, although I bet it is quite interesting.

We then headed downtown to check out a barbeque place called Rendezvous, which our friend Pat suggested. It is only a few blocks from the famous Beale Street. When we drove by there, the police had the street closed to cars, as is the norm. There weren’t ...

... April - spent about three hours at the National Civil Rights Museum, next to the Lorraine Hotel where Martin L King was shot . An excellent museum, learned a lot. We got to listen to some of the old recordings too such as Elvis's very first song he actually paid $4 to have recorded. Onwards to Jackson to stay the night, no plans for Jackson as this is just a rest stop. Along the way we find a place called Duck Hill, if we blinked we would have missed ...

... day! The whole estate was a great tribute to the legend who was Elvis Presley, an amazing collection of his planes, automobiles and memorabilia, all very tastefully assembled and preserved. We loved it and learnt a lot about him and his family (I had never known he was one of a twin – his brother Jesse a still born –imagine how different the world might have been if he had survived instead of Elvis). Other highlights ...
