    Free Shuttle!

Seems as the hotel is off the main strip, they provide a free shuttle to and from the hotel.
We found this very helpful as we were travelling in a group of 5, which can be difficult finding a maxi taxi.

Location was perfect as we were not planning on hitting the night clubs in the strip, area felt very safe.

... m amazed to report none of us actually got sun burnt. Heat like that just naturally forces you to keep slapping it on. Given the choice we'd have opted for the temperature to be about 10 degrees lower though. We kept the pool waitresses busy given the constant need to keep hydrated and Dave and I ensured a close eye was always on Neil given his last experience in America. We didn't want him ruining another holiday. The excessive heat did at least keep our bar bill down given it ...

Whirlygigs were about and we were reminded of the afternoon drive to Monument Valley. Moreover this highway is used by many trucks so between the wind and the trucks the Good Guy needed solid driving as it swayed a bit.Stopped in to see Hoover Dam. Very impressive and unique I would think, ...

... for all the Guano mining that used to happen there, guano (for those who haven’t seen Ace Ventura 2) is bat droppings. The cave was apparently discovered in the 1930s by a passing boater and there were several unsuccessful early attempts at mining the nitrogen-rich guano deposit within the cave for fertilizer before the U.S. Guano Corporation bought the property around 1957. The company constructed an elaborate plant to extract the guano and a small airstrip was built on a ...

... others. Amazingly still they keep building more casinos without let up so it will be interesting to revisit in ten years and see what has changed.

So we will cross into California next to visit the Death Valley National Park only to pop back out into Nevada to spend one night (as there is no budget accommodation within the National Park) in a little town called Beatty. Now that should be interesting as the one horse has reportedly already left town!

... about white people, and he is pretty dirty. Also I think he was pretty maggot on stage. We were laughing for 80 percent of the show, it's definitely not something I would recommend to older white women because he is pretty vulgar in his jokes about white women. The older lady next to me looked horrified. One drunk white girl was talking through the whole thing , he slammed her then she ended up getting kicked out of the show. That was a little awkward. Allot of the jokes I ...
