We had decided to take the I 85 north and cut up away from the Gulf. Our stop in Auburn was due to the State park being close to freeway. Well, it all worked out. This area had some interesting and enjoyable attractions.

... The city was beautiful. Lots of old original homes. The 22 public squares are all dedicated to people who helped mold the city. Highway 80 was renamed to Victory Highway after WWI and a palm tree was planted for each fallen soldier from Tybee Island into Savannah.
