While there weren't really any "wow" features of the museum, the kids kept busy the entire time we were there. Even Isaac (14) found exhibits to interact with for almost the entire time. ... but this has changed over the years but football still is god. There is a huge stadium which is just for football and hosts about 6 games a year. Their football season is only about 11 games. Seems such a waste to have a facility so underutilised.

... of the back roads back to South Bend and drove through areas that were predominantly Amish farms. One of the cutest things I saw was a small buggy with 3 small children being pulled by an equally small horse. Miniature of what we had seen in town.

Back in town, we chatted with Madge and then enjoyed a lovely meal of roast stuffed boneless pork and vegetables followed by a piece of her delicious apple pie. More chatting before retiring to bed.

... at the car park, it started as a neatly mown path which petered out to a very poorly defined path. No wonder others had had difficulty.

Headed out from the park on highway 80 heading towards South Bend. At Ottawa (Illinois) we spent some time trying to find lunch. Walmart had not bread rolls and in the end we bought salads from Kroger which we ate beside the Illinois River.
